Frequently asked questions

How is the Paint Calculator calculated?

Liters = (paintable area − openings) × coats ÷ coverage × (1 + waste/100). Example: 45 m², 2 coats, 10 m²/L coverage and 10% extra needs 9.9 L.

What do I need to enter in the Paint Calculator?

You enter: Paintable area (m²); Number of coats; Coverage (m² per liter); Extra (%); Doors/windows excluded (m²). An example value is shown in each empty field, and the result appears as soon as the numbers are valid.

Why do I subtract doors and windows?

Openings are not painted, so removing their area gives a more realistic liter count. Very small openings can be ignored, and dark colors or rough walls may need an extra coat.
